In short
This is a demonstration website for a fictional company. It collects only the information you choose to submit through its two contact forms, sends it once by email, and does not use analytics or advertising tracking of any kind.
Who this applies to
This privacy statement covers the Solara Energy demonstration website and the contact and assessment forms on it. Solara Energy is a fictional company created to demonstrate a WordPress website design; it does not trade, and no real business relationship results from using this site.
What is collected
The only personal information this website collects is what you type into the contact form or the assessment request form: your name, email address, phone number if given, and the content of your message.
The website also relies on standard technical logs kept by the hosting environment, such as server error logs, which record request information common to any web server and are not used to build a profile of visitors.
- Contact form: name, email, phone, topic and message
- Assessment form: name, email, phone, property details and project notes
- Standard server logs, kept for technical operation only
How it is used
Submitted form data is sent by email to the site administrator using WordPress’s built-in mail function, so that the enquiry can be answered. It is not stored in a database, added to a mailing list, sold, or shared with any third party.
A short-lived technical record is kept only when a form submission fails validation, so the form can be redisplayed with your answers rather than asking you to retype everything. That record is deleted automatically within two minutes and is never used for any other purpose.
What is not used
This website does not use:
- Analytics or visitor-tracking scripts
- Advertising or retargeting pixels
- Third-party embeds that load before consent
- Cookies for anything other than WordPress’s own core functionality
WordPress and technical data
This site runs on WordPress. Where the software itself sets a technical cookie, for example to keep a form submission secure, that use is described on the Cookies page.
Your choices
Because this is a demonstration website, no account is created and no ongoing record is kept of who has visited or submitted a form beyond the single email sent at the time. If you have sent a message and would like it removed from the inbox it was sent to, say so in your message.
Contact
Questions about this statement can be sent to hello@solara-energy.example. As this is a demo, replies are illustrative rather than a real customer support channel.
